Lord Jesus, the Good Shepherd

YOU are Holy and I am filthy on the inside,

 I need to have this hope of everlasting life. 

I have nothing to offer YOU other than an empty life filled with nothingness. 

 I need YOU so much, I have a big, empty hole inside of me 

and a trail of brokenness, disaster, and chaos, 

 I am stained with sin.

I am so sorry. I'm touched by regret

Can YOU ever accept someone like me?

is it true that you will?

Will YOU please accept me today? 

The awfulness of the pain I feel

I know very little about YOU, so I confess my sins to YOU as best I can 

I thank YOU for dying in my place on the cross. 

I thank YOU for the sacrifice of YOUR life and your life blood poured out. 

I beg YOU to please forgive me, I know I don't deserve it,

 When I am clean I will vow to follow YOU for the rest of my life.
 

I lay everything before YOU today and ask YOU to TRANSFORM me

 by the POWER of YOUR resurrection. Thank YOU my LORD and SAVIOUR - 

now claim YOUR forgiveness. 

I am YOURS forever, starting right here and now. 

I ask  YOU to help me to hate my sin, actions and attitudes.

 It is the only way forward into really getting right with YOU. Amen.
